Signal safety to your nervous system.
Your body learned to stay alert for a reason.
At one point, being ready mattered.
But this moment is not that moment.
Right now, you are allowed to pause.
You are allowed to stop scanning for what might go wrong.
You are allowed to be still without explaining why.
Let your jaw unclench.
Let your shoulders drop.
Let your breath lengthen just a little.
Say quietly to yourself:
Nothing needs me right now.
Safety isn’t something you earn.
It’s something your body remembers when it’s given permission.
